Srinagar, Jul 06 (KMS): In illegally occupied Indian Jammu and Kashmir, Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam, on behalf of the institution and its incarcerated chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has paid rich tributes to one of the leading reformers of the Islamic world, preacher and the greatest benefactor of the people of Kashmir, Ameer-e-Kabeer Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA), popularly known as Shah-e-Hamadan (RA), during his Urs annual.
Ameer-e-Kabeer Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA) was known as Shah-e-Hamadan (RA) in IIOJK.
The Anjuman in a statement in Srinagar while remembering the precious religious, dawah, literary and reforming services of Hazrat Shah-e-Hamadan (RA) paid glorious tribute to the revered saint and scholar of Islam.
The Anjuman described Hazrat Shah-e-Hamadan (RA) as “an embodiment of truth, knowledge, truthfulness, reliability, honesty and guardianship, and a great benefactor, compassionate and mentor to Kashmiris in the truest sense of the word”.
Shah-e-Hamadan (RA) traveled from Khatlan region of Iran to Kashmir after extraordinary hardships and struggles and practically invited the people of Kashmir to Islam; and residents of the territory responded to the call of Hazrat Amir-e-Kabeer (RA), according to the statement.
The Anjuman said it was a miracle of the faith and high spirituality of Hazrat Shah-e-Hamadan that as a result of his three preaching tours, the source of Islam arrived forever in all the Kashmir Valley. “And not only the history but also the fate of Kashmir has changed forever. Whereas history can be changed but fate cannot,” he said.
“Through the great personality of Hazrat Shah-e-Hamdan (RA), the people of Kashmir not only obtained the priceless wealth of Islam, but the revered saint brought art, crafts, skills and industry which have boosted the economy of Kashmir and brought economies revolution.The people of Kashmir have started to rise on the world stage through these industries which have become their hallmark.Through these skills and craftsmanship, Kashmiris have achieved worldwide fame for hundreds of years,” the statement read.
Hazrat Shah-e-Hamadan (RA) was not only a great scholar and religious leader, but also a philosopher, writer and traveler, the Anjuman said.
