LAHORE: The Punjab police on Sunday witnessed another reshuffle within its senior hierarchy.
According to a notification issued by the provincial authorities, Dr Muhammad Abid Khan has been appointed to the new DIG Operations Lahore, replacing Ahsan Younis.
The city thus witnessed the appointment of the fourth DIG Operations in five months. The first two were respectively Sajid Kiyani and Sohail Chaudhry.
Meanwhile, Zulfiqar Hameed was appointed as DIG Additional Trainee, Ghulam Mubashar Mekan as CPO Faisalabad and SSP Muhammad Ashfaq Alam was promoted to DIG Internal Accountability rank.
Punjab transfers 30 police officers in major reshuffle
