LAHORE: Senior Professor of Postgraduate Medical Institute and Ameer-ud-Din Medical College, Dr Sardar Muhammad Al-Fareed Zafar, said polio is not just a disease but a threat to it. future of the nation, its eradication was therefore essential to save the new generation from disability.

He expressed these opinions while inspecting the desks set up for the vaccination of children against polio at Lahore General Hospital. About six counters have been set up at LGH in different departments for the campaign against polio.

During this time, a mobile team was also trained to administer polio drops to children coming from the different departments of the hospital. These provisions would be maintained until December 18 at the scheduled times.

CEREMONY: A ceremony on the new assignment of the SSP Mubashir Maken administration as CPO Faisalabad and the retirement of SSP Khalida Perveen and DSP Nazar Abbas internal responsibility took place at the police headquarters office in the capital. SSP Legal Sheikh Asif, DSP Rehan Jamal, senior police officers and CHC office officials participated in the ceremony. Additional CCPO IG Fayyaz Ahmad Dev was the main guest.

He praised the performances of transferred SSP Mubashir Maken, retired SSP Khalida Perveen and DSP Nazar Abbas and said that police work is a way of life as each police officer spends most of their time in the country.

SSP Legal Sheikh Asif and other senior police officers expressed their best wishes for SSP Mubashir Maken, retired SSP Khalida Perveen and DSP Nazar Abbas.

SSP Mubashir Maken expressed his most sincere gratitude for the gesture of love and respect from the CHC and his fellow officers and co-workers. SSP Khalida Perveen and DSP Nazar Abbas also expressed their gratitude to the CCPO and all other senior police officers.
