Rahul didn’t visit Bhagyalakshmi temple to appease Muslim voters: BJP

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party official spokesperson Telangana N.V. Subhash attacked the Congress for spreading rumors and embezzling people in the name of caste and religion.

According to a press release here on Wednesday, Subhash said his party strongly condemns remarks by Congress Speaker Mallikarjun Kharge who accused him of “spreading lies every day” that could “destroy the country” in the long run.

“The whole world appreciated Modi’s patriotism and his efforts to make India a world leader. It is the culture and ethos of the BJP to present the truth in front of the people of the country, even if it is a bold move,” he said.

Attacking Kharge as “old wine in a new bottle”, he said the latter was working to “fulfill the wishes of the Gandhi family”. He also asked Kharge if he was free to make his own decisions.

On the comment of a possible hotline between Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Prime Minister Modi, Subhash said that the BJP never hides anything from the people. “The party only makes decisions after debates and discussions with the people,” he said.

Subhash also pointed out that Congressman Rahul Gandhi did not visit Bhagyalakshmi Temple in Charminar because he wanted to appease Muslim voters.

Also, Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge did not visit or pay their respects at the Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial at Gun Park, Subhash said.

“Both addressed the rally at the Indira Gandhi statue in Necklace Road, but never paid their respects to the late PV Narasimha Rao. It shows the lack of respect for their own leaders and for the people who worked for Telangana State,” Subhash said.
