Actor Ramy Youseff is best known for his work on the hit series Rummy, Hulu comedy-drama series based on the life of a first-generation American Muslim. The first two seasons have been widely critically acclaimed, and a release date for the show’s third season has now been revealed.
Season 3 of Rummy will premiere on September 30 with a run of 10 episodes, according to Hulu. The third season will continue to follow the daily life of the Hassan family, Egyptian immigrants settled in New Jersey, as they adjust to life in the United States. Hulu said the third season “will bring a fresh perspective to the screen as it explores the challenges of what it’s like to be caught between a religious community that believes life is a moral test and a millennial generation that doubts that an afterlife even exists.” In particular, Season 3 will focus on Ramy’s family leaving after he decides to move away from spirituality and settle for the business of diamonds from his uncle.
Youseff stars in the hit series as Ramy Hassan. Along the way, he is joined by a list of family and friends, including his uncle Naseem (Laith Nakli), his mother Maysa (Hiam Abbas), Father Farouk (Amr woke up), sister Dena (Mai Calamawy) and his friends Mo (Mohammad Amer) and Ahmad (David Merheje). It was also announced this year that the model Bella Hadid will make her acting debut in an unspecified role in Season 3.
Season 2 of Rummy was released in May 2020, and fans of the series have been waiting for the next installment for a long time. The show was first created by Youseff as a way to portray American Muslims in a more positive light than is often seen in Western media. Executive producers include Youseff as well as the Emmy-nominated comedian Jerrod Carmichael. Youseff is also the show’s director and writer.
Rummy is just one of many projects Youseff is currently working on. This includes Mo, a show he co-created with Mo Amer. The show, a comedy about a Palestinian refugee struggling with culture shock in the United States, is set to premiere on Netflix on August 24. Youseff is also working on an untitled animated series for Prime Video which will also focus on Islamic culture, although this show does not have a release date.

In season three, his family is forced to come to terms with having lived a life dedicated to the concerns of the world – and in some cases, the lies – while Ramy all but abandons his spiritual journey, devoting himself instead to him. and his uncle’s diamond business.
