In 1964, when The Beatles were at the height of their worldwide fame, the rock group then met Cassius Clay and later Muhammad Ali. At the time of this meeting, Ali was only twenty-two years old. Meeting the Beatles was unplanned and became an iconic moment in pop culture. Nearly 58 years later, photography is resurfacing on the net.

At the time of the encounter, Ali was preparing to fight Sonny Liston for the WBC and WBA heavyweight titles. Following his meeting with the Beatles, Ali defeated Liston by RTD.

The famous photo was capture by Chris Smith at 5th Street Gym in Miami Beach. And to this day, fans hold the picture in high regard. Ali and the Beatles’ humor was locked up by Smith to become one of the greatest moments in pop culture history.

Muhammad Ali hits all four Beatles members with one punch

Ali, pictured, looks buoyant and determined to take action. With a left hand, he knocks out all four Beatles members in frame.

At the time of meeting one of the greatest bands of all time, Ali was in his early twenties. He held a professional position registration of 20 wins, 0 losses and 0 draws. Ali was toughening up to face slugger Sonny Liston. And before facing Liston, Ali met Henry Cooper, Doug Jones, Charlie Powell, Archie Moore and Alejandro Lavorante.

Challenger Cassius Clay (later Muhammad Ali) knocks out heavyweight champion Sonny Liston in their 1964 fight. Clay won the title with a 7th round TKO of Liston.

After that 1964 fight with Liston, Ali fought the same way again the following year. The rematch took place on May 25, 1965. Only the WBC heavyweight title was on the line when the duo met for the second time in the ring.

However, this time Ali knocked out Liston. At 2:12 on the clock of the very first lap, Ali took care of business.
